SOUND IT OUT

There's one thing physicists and astrologers agree on: everything is energy. And everyone and everything is composed of planetary frequencies, our electromgnetic DNA.

A quick keyword refresher...

A connection between planets and DNA makes sense and we just haven't made it yet. And since early environment shapes planetary dynamics, it makes sense that it shapes DNA too, as this video clip delves into...

"The DNA embodies the expectation of the environment in which you will live and grow and become. So all the information that is you is actually not only embedded in the DNA, but it's embedded in the context of the world in which you grow into and develop, right? So all that information is packed in the expectation of what the DNA expects to see." 4:32 min

Geneticists have combed through decades of data to detect patterns that define human character and behavior and finally found the leadership gene. And astrologers have combed through eons of data to detect patterns that define human character and behavior and there are none they haven't found.

Some aspects predictably create conflict, at least until they're mastered, but how can they be mastered if they can't be defined? Not the way astrology does. Not even close. So Know Thy Enemy within and make it a friend.

260 aspect blends

You might want to take a deeper peek before riding the next wave.

SUN: the centerpoint of consciousness that manifests the ego;
SATURN: the taskmaster that restricts whatever planets it aspects;
CONJUNCTION: the strongest aspect - blends & strengthens the frequencies.

The Sun is the ego frequency, modified by the aspects, colored by the birth sign and shaped by the early relationship to father or other male auhority.

Every planet that aspects the Sun infuses the ego with its own unique frequency and receives its light. But Saturn resists. It's the taskmaster that casts a shadow on the Sun until its challenges are met and the Sun shines its brightest. Why else accept this mission, Jim?

If you're familiar with the research of Dr. Ian Stevenson, you know you chose your parents, consciously or unconsciously. They had no idea who they were getting. So if they fall short, remember you signed up for it.

Saturn heightens awareness of our shortcomings to compel us to evolve. And a conjunction to the Sun is no easy task, weighing down the ego with worries, doubts & fears. But you'll learn a lot about yourself, if you embrace and not project it. The rewards equal the efforts. That's essentially Saturn's motto.

While we're on the subject, Saturn is the gatekeeper of the subconscious, along with Jupiter, essentially its opposite. Together they help us take it all in and sort it all out. Intensely felt experiences are recorded and the dynamic duo expand or restrict, uplift or depress, dilate or regulate our essential perceptions of ourselves and the world. (Some say religion is a symbolic portrayal of astrology and Jupiter & Saturn play Jehovah & Satan).

SUN CONJUNCT SATURN can also mean an absent father or a birth defect or handicap. Saturn constricts the ego and both parents would be restrictive by necessity and the lowered expectations are sorely felt. What you do with that painful perception is up to you.

ALL aspects from Saturn to the Sun indicate a restrictive father figure and the conjunction is the most potent. It unifies the frequencies, with no distance for perspective, so astrology is a profoundly useful tool that provides it.

Saturn is tough love with every planet it mingles with, so it's always trying and you're always trying. And when you're good it's very good.

After the karmic trials of childhood and following the first Saturn Return, from ages 27 to 30, free will is in full bloom. Saturn has completed a full cycle and returned to the birth position to start again. And this time you're in the drivers seat and own the car. The Saturn Return is called 'childhood's end' because it brings clarity of purpose and you alone lay your future path.

The personality is evident by the sign characteristics of the conscious planets, and in this case that's the Sun. And since it's a conjunction aspect, both planets occupy the same sign.

Below are the two ends of the parenting spectrum to highlight the effects on the ego from the early relationship to the father figure. Most of us get a mixed bag and consider ourselves lucky if we're loved, seen & supported.

ARIES/fire/assert: may strive to become a great athlete
TAURUS/earth/commit: may strive to become productively rich
GEMINI/air/communicate: may strive to become a bestselling author
CANCER/water/emote: may strive to raise a big happy and secure family

ARIES/fire/assert: may be reckless and combative with others
TAURUS/earth/commit: may over-indulge & be too possessive of others
GEMINI/air/communicate: may be highstrung & indulge in divisive gossip
CANCER/water/emote: may numb their insecurities with food and alcohol

SUN CONJUNCT SATURN seeks self-discipline and progress, regardless of what sign it's in. And whether or not it's achieved can depend on the cues you get to excel or fail or a mixed bag of both. We're so programmable! And once the ego's tracks are laid, it takes self-awareness and commitment to heal any deep wounds.
